The Basics
Score: MNU 38 - Graceland 33
Record: MNU (1-1), GU (0-2)
Location: - ODAC - Olathe, Kan.

OLATHE, Kan. - Jamar Moya rushed for an MNU record 287 yards with 4 touchdowns in MNU's 38-33 comeback victory over Graceland on Saturday. Dahmir Pross set the record with 250 yards in 2017. The Yellowjackets drove 75 yards in 8 plays for an opening-possession touchdown, but the PAT was blocked and a big return by Jairan Manning on the ensuing kickoff set up MNU for a Pablo Pereira 44-yard field goal. The Pioneers took the lead with a 3-play 30-yard drive and extended it with an 8-play 49-yard drive for a 17-6 lead after the first quarter. The second quarter was all Graceland as they scored touchdowns on 3 straight drives to take a 27-17 lead, but MNU responded with a 2-play touchdown before halftime to close the gap.

Graceland went up 33-24 with a 13-play 94-yard touchdown drive for the 3rd quarter's only score, and the Pioneers needed a 4th quarter comeback. It started with a Jamar Moya 73-yard touchdown run. After MNU stopped Graceland on 4th down in the red zone, the Pioneers drove the length of the field only to be picked off in the end zone. The defense produced a 3-and-out, and MNU got the ball back with just under 6 minutes to play. Moya dominated the possession with 5 carries, 3 1st-down runs, and a touchdown to give MNU a 38-33 lead. The defense stood firm again with a stop, and the Pioneers ran out the clock for the win.
