Game 2, the Mustangs jumped out with 2 in the 1st and MNU answered with 1. The game remained close until MMU blew it open late with 2 runs in the 5th and 3 in the 6th. Senior
Cassidy Berry drilled a 3-run homer in the bottom of the 6th to get MNU back into the game, but the Mustangs scored 4 more in the top of the 7th to take an 11-4 lead. Senior
Taylor Creason - who hasn't played in over a month with an apparent season-ending injury - thrilled fans with a homer in her final at bat in the 7th, but the Pioneers fell 11-5.
