Game 2 Score: MNU 6 - Missouri Valley 3
Records: MNU (9-15, 7-11), MVC (10-21, 3-15)

MARSHALL, Mo. - The Pioneers never trailed in a sweep at Missouri Valley on Friday. MNU scored single runs in the 1st, 4th, and 7th to take a 3-0 lead, but Valley mounted a comeback in the bottom of the 7th. The Vikings loaded the bases with 1 out, and a single followed by a strikeout and an error kept the bases loaded and MNU up 3-2. A groundout back to the circle ended the threat and the Pioneers took Game 1.

Game 1 Turning Point
MNU's run in the 1st gave them the lead for good.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Allison Denges struck out 6 in a complete game victory. And Kaleigh Bayless (1-2, R, 2 BB, SB) and Audrey Denges (2-4, 2 RBI, SB), led the offense.

In Game 2, MNU scored twice in the top of the 1st when Bayless led off with a double and Emily Robinson followed with a triple. Audrey Denges drove home Robinson with a sacrifice fly, and MNU took a 2-0 lead. Tessa Ward's 2-out 2-run single in the 3rd put MNU up 4-1, and a Cassidy Berry solo shot in the 7th put the Pioneers up 6-3 and MNU won by that score.

Game 2 Turning Point
Tessa Ward's 2-out-2 run single in the 3rd gave MNU some separation.
