BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - MNU won a 3-game series over Baker this weekend.
Joshuan Sandoval homered twice and drove in 4 as MNU took
Game 1 on Friday. The game was played at the T-Bones Stadium in Kansas City, Kan. Sandoval got MNU on the board with a solo shot in the top of the 3rd, but Baker tied it in the bottom of the inning. The game remained tied at 1 until Sandoval drilled a 3-run shot with 2 outs in the 6th, and
Austin Conour took it from there. The rightie entered the game in the 3rd inning and didn't allow a run in 6.2 innings. MNU tacked on a single run in the top of the 9th, and Conour finished the 5-1 victory.

Sandoval's 2-out 3-run homer in the 6th proved to be the game winner.

Austin Conour struck out 8 in 6.2 innings of relief for the win. And

In the 7-inning
Game 2, neither team got on the board until the 4th inning. The Pioneers were hitless until
Joshuan Sandoval singled with 1 out, and 7 straight batters followed with hits to bring home 7 runs and blow the game open. MNU rallied for 4 more in the top of the 6th to take a 12-3 lead, but Baker answered with 5 in the bottom of the inning. The Pioneers got 1 more in the 7th and won 13-8.

Eight straight hits with 1 out in the 4th gave MNU a 7-0 lead.

Jhon Vargas struck out 6 in 4 innings for the win. And

In the 9-inning
Game 3, Baker jumped out early and ran away with it. Two in the 2nd and 6 in the 3rd put the Wildcats up 8-0. MNU managed just 3 hits and 1 run while Baker went up 11-1 to win via the mercy rule.
