WICHITA, Kan. - MNU split a non-conference double header at Friends on Tuesday. In Game 1, Friends built a 4-0 lead after 3 innings, but the Pioneers mounted a late comeback. A 2-out RBI double by
Joshuan Sandoval got MNU on the board in the 5th, and
Chase Robinson's 2-run shot was followed 2 outs later by a
Joshua Crispin solo homer to tie the game in the 6th. In the top of the 7th, Sandoval and
Jeremie Gonzalez went back-to-back for a 6-4 lead, and reliever
Nick Barker shut the door for the win.

Nick Barker struck out 4 in 2 innings of relief for the win. And

In
Game 2, the Falcons built a 10-1 lead after 4 innings, but the Pioneers once again fought back late.
Chase Robinson's 2nd homer of the day made it 10-2, and a huge 6th put MNU back in the game. The Pioneers loaded the bases and kept chipping away until 6 runs crossed on just 3 hits to get within 2. But Friends blew it open in the bottom of the 6th with 7 runs to put the game away.
