OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - MNU lost late to #8 Oklahoma City but responded with a tight victory over Concordia on Saturday. Against Oklahoma City, MNU scored in the 3rd when
Joshua Crispin doubled and later scored on a groundout. OKC scored twice in the 3rd to take the lead, but the Pioneers responded with 2 in the top of the 5th. In the top of the 6th, MNU took a 5-run lead - highlighted by a
Jeremie Gonzalez 2-out 3-run double - but the Stars answered with a huge bottom of the inning. With 2 outs and 2 on, a double brought home 2 and a grand slam two batters later gave OKC the lead. Another homer made it an 8-run inning, and the Pioneers fell by 3.

In Game 2 vs. Concordia, MNU jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a
Juwan Padro 2-out 2-run single. Concordia tied it in the top of the 2nd, but
Chase Robinson and
Joshua Crispin homered to spark a 3-run rally in the bottom. The Bulldogs tied it again in the top of the 3rd, but the Pioneers took the lead again on a
Sam Parrish 2-run single. Another 2 runs scored in the 4th for a 9-5 lead, but Concordia mounted a comeback in with a 2-run 6th. In the top of the 7th, a hit batsman and 2 walks loaded the bases with 1 out. A strikeout kept Concordia off the board, but another hit batsman made it a 1-run game. Finally, a grounder to 3rd ended the threat and gave the Pioneers their first win of the season.
