Cameron Brady and
Anthony Brown had huge games in MNU's 91-87 loss at #24 Park on Thursday. The Pirates started the game on a 19-9 run but the Pioneers closed the gap to 2 with 5 minutes left in the first half. Park closed the half on a 20-4 run, however, and MNU trailed by 18 at the break. The lead was 20 early in the second half, but a 19-5 Pioneer run got them back in the game. A
Patrick Cairns 3-pointer in the final minute got MNU within 3, but the Pioneers would not score again. Park missed twice on the front end of a one-and-one, but MNU couldn't find the game-tying 3 and the Pirates finally hit a free throw to win by 4.
Turning Point
Park's 20-4 run to close the first half proved too much to overcome.
Individual Leaders
Cameron Brady hit 14-18 for a career-high 29 points and 7 rebounds.
Anthony Brown shot 11-14 for 29 points.
Dante Scroggins had 13 points. And
Patrick Cairns added 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.
