SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Pioneers dropped the first game of the conference tournament 5-0 to Avila on Wednesday. The tournament is being held at the Killian Softball Complex in Springfield, Missouri. The Eagles scored in the top of the 1st with a 1-out triple and a squeeze bunt single, and that was all they needed. Single runs were added in the 3rd and 4th with 2 more coming in the 5th, and MNU couldn't come back.
