OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers dominated Game 1 and walked off Game 2 in a sweep of Graceland on Friday. In Game 1, MNU scored in the 3rd to take the lead, and pitcher Jostyn Bebout's 2-run homer made it 3-0 in the 4th. MNU scored the next 5 runs over 2 innings for the 8-0 mercy rule victory.

Game 1 Turning Point
Jostyn Bebout's 2-run homer gave MNU a cushion.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Jostyn Bebout struck out 5 in a 6-inning complete game shutout to go along with a 2-run homer. And Macie Jones (2-4, 2 R, 2B), Taylor Creason (3-4, RBI, SB), and Shelby Frans (2-2, 2 R, 2 2B, Sac) had multi-hit games.

In Game 2, MNU seemed in total control after 3 doubles and 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd. But Graceland fought back in the top of the 6th. With 1 out, 2 walks and 4 singles plated 5 runs to give the Yellowjackets the lead. But Macie Jones led off the bottom of the 7th with a game-tying solo homer and the game went into extras. In the 10th inning, Graceland couldn't convert their run after the international tie-breaker, and with 2 outs in the bottom of the inning, an infield throwing error gave MNU a run and the game for the sweep.
