In Game 1, MNU scored in the bottom of the 1st to take the lead, but Benedictine rallied for 2 runs in the 4th to go up 2-1. In the bottom of the 5th with 2 outs and nobody on,
Jessica Molina singled ahead of
Madison Butcoff's single to create a scoring threat.
Emily Robinson singled home the tying run, and MNU converted some 1st & 3rd baserunning to score Butcoff for a 3-2 lead.
Jostyn Bebout retired 6 of the last 7 hitters to finish the win.

MNU's 2-run play in the bottom of the 5th changed the game.
