Pioneers Sweep Ravens for 10th Straight

OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers have won 10 in a row after a double header sweep of Benedictine on Saturday. In Game 1, MNU scored in the bottom of the 1st to take the lead, but Benedictine rallied for 2 runs in the 4th to go up 2-1. In the bottom of the 5th with 2 outs and nobody on, Jessica Molina singled ahead of Madison Butcoff's single to create a scoring threat. Emily Robinson singled home the tying run, and MNU converted some 1st & 3rd baserunning to score Butcoff for a 3-2 lead. Jostyn Bebout retired 6 of the last 7 hitters to finish the win.

MNU's 2-run play in the bottom of the 5th changed the game.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Jostyn Bebout struck out 4 in a complete game victory. And Madison Butcoff (1-3, 2 R), Emily Robinson (2-3, RBI), and Jessica Molina (1-2, R) had MNU's 4 hits.

In Game 2, MNU got on the board in the bottom of the 4th on Kaitlyn Leffle's RBI single to give MNU a 1-0 lead. Benedictine answered with a run in the 5th to tie it, but Macie Jones doubled home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 5th and Emily Robinson made it hold up.

Emily Robinson struck out 5 in a complete game win to go along with reaching base 3 times. And Macie Jones (1-2, 2B, RBI, BB) and Kaitlyn Leffle (1-3, RBI) drove in runs.
