MARSHALL, Mo. - The Pioneers win streak came to an end but MNU came back to dominate Game 2 in a double header split at Missouri Valley on Tuesday. In Game 1, Valley scored 1 in the first and rallied for 3 in the 2nd to jump out to a 4-0 lead. MNU got on the board with a run in the 3rd, and pitcher Jostyn Bebout - in the hitting lineup for just the 3rd time in the last 14 games - drilled a 2-run homer in the 5th to cut the deficit to 1. Emily Robinson added a solo shot, and MNU tied it at 4. In the bottom of the 6th with 2 outs and a runner on first, a wild throw on a swinging bunt went all the way down the right field line and Valley took the lead. MNU went down 1-2-3 in the top of the 7th and Valley took Game 1.

Game 1 Turning Point
The 2-base error in the 6th was the difference in the game.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Emily Robinson (1-4, R, HR, RBI), Taylor Creason (2-3), Shelby Frans (2-3, 2 R, 2 2B), and Jostyn Bebout (1-3, R, HR, 2 RBI) led the offense.

In Game 2, MNU went nuts in the 1st inning, scoring 11 runs on 11 hits - highlighted by a 2-run homer in Macie Jones' 2nd at bat - to take a huge lead. The Pioneers didn't score again, but won 11-2 in 5 innings.

Game 2 Turning Point
MNU's huge 1st inning was more than enough.

Game 2 Individual Leaders
Emily Robinson struck out 2 and allowed no earned runs in a complete game win to go along with a 2-3 game at the plate with 2 runs, a double, an RBI, and a walk.
