Dante Scroggins shot 70% from the floor in a 75-68 victory over John Brown on Friday. The junior forward hit 5-8 from beyond the arc and was 5-5 from the line for a season-high 24 points as the Pioneers improved to 4-0. The first half was very tight as the teams traded 3s for 20 minutes. JBU took a 5-point lead into halftime, but MNU started the 2nd half on a 12-2 run to take their own 5-point lead. Later in the half, MNU used a 13-2 run to lead by 9, but JBU fought back to get within 1 with 9 minutes left. The Pioneers responded with 5 straight points and were able to hit enough free throws down the stretch to hold off the Golden Eagles.

Dakota Quinn had 2 big rebounds and a blocked shot as JBU tried to trim a 3-point deficit in the closing minutes.
