PERU, Neb. - MNU split a pair of mercy rule games at Peru State on Saturday. In Game 1, MNU exploded for 6 runs in the 1st inning highlighted by a
Lydia Reyes homer. Peru led off the bottom of the inning with their only hit of the game, a solo homer, and followed with an error and a walk. But not another Bobcat would reach base as
Emily Robinson retired the next 14 in a row.
Hanna VanLanker homered in a 3-run 3rd, and the Pioneers won 9-1 in 5 innings.
Game 1 Turning Point
Lydia Reyes' 2-run homer in the 1st was all MNU needed.
