OLATHE, Kan. - MNU used a 2-out 4-run rally in the bottom of the 7th to win Game 1 in a double header split with #20 Grand View on Friday. The Pioneers scored first with a 2-out RBI single from
Emily Robinson in the bottom of the 1st, and Robinson held the Viking scoreless until the 5th. But Grand View rallied for 5 runs on just 3 hits in the top of the 5th to take control. In the bottom of the 7th trailing by 4 with 2 outs and nobody on vs. an All-America pitcher, the Pioneers didn't quit. Three singles on consecutive pitches scored a run and brought the tying run to the plate, and 2 pitches later
Lydia Reyes drilled a no-doubter to tie the game at 5. In the bottom of the 8th with 2 outs,
Shelby Frans knocked home
Kinsey Kiser to win 6-5.

Lydia Reyes' 3-run bomb tied the game with 2 outs in the 7th.

In Game 2, Grand View scored in the top of the 2nd but MNU tied it in the bottom of the 3rd. The Viking rallied for 3 in the top of the 4th, but the Pioneers scored 2 in the bottom to close the gap. Neither team managed another run, and Grand View won 4-3 to salvage the split.
