OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers lost 3 of 4 from red hot Central Methodist over the weekend. The Eagles came in with an 18-game win streak, and it reached 20 before MNU finally broke through with a win in Game 3. Games 1 and 4 went into extra innings, but the Eagles came up with big home runs each time.
Game 1 Turning Point
A leadoff walk in the top of the 7th turned into the game-tying run, and a solo homer in the top of the 8th was the difference.
Game 1 Individual Leaders
Matt Terrones allowed just 4 hits in 7 innings in a no decision. And
Chase Robinson (1-2, R, 2 BB) and
Isaac Geisinger (1-3, 2 RBI) had MNU's 2 hits.
In Game 2, CMU rallied for 4 runs in the top of the 3rd and MNU never recovered. Three more scored in the 4th, and CMU built an 8-0 lead heading to the 7th. MNU rallied for 3 runs in the bottom of the inning, but CMU completed the Day 1 sweep.

Robert Berning (1-3, 2B, RBI) recorded MNU's 3 hits.
In Game 3, each team scored an early run and it was tied at 1 in the 5th inning. In the bottom of the 5th, MNU finally broke through.
Chase Robinson's 2-out 2-run double was followed by a
Robert Berning 2-run homer, and the Pioneers led 5-1. Two more runs crossed after a pitching change, and the Pioneers won 7-2.
Game 3 Turning Point
Chase Robinson's 2-out 2-run double gave MNU the lead for good.
Game 3 Individual Leaders
Phil Graham struck out 7 in 5.2 innings for the win. And
Chase Robinson (1-2, 2B, 3 RBI),
Robert Berning (2-4, R, HR, 2 RBI),
Jacob Jenkins (2-3, R, 2B, SB), and Lenzie Foley (2-3, R, 2B) led the offense.
In Game 4, CMU took a 3-run lead after a 3-run homer in the top of the 2nd. But
Isaac Geisinger answered with a 2-run shot in the 3rd to make the score 4-3 in favor of the Eagles.
Jacob Jenkins tied the game in the 5th with an RBI single, and the score remained 4-4 into the 9th. CMU drilled a 3-run homer in the top of the 9th, and the Pioneers fell 7-4.

Emilio Gonzales struck out 6 in 6.1 innings in a no decision. And
