OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers blew a 9-point 4th quarter lead, but won the final minute to beat Clarke 76-72 on Senior Day. MNU led by 3 after the 1st quarter and held a 2-point lead at halftime. The Pioneers extended to a 7-point lead after the 3rd, but Clarke went on a run in the 4th. After a bucket by Tristin Wicks put MNU up by 9 with 9 minutes left, Clarke went on a 13-2 run to take the lead with 3:20 remaining. The Crusaders had a 72-69 lead with 2 minutes left but didn't score again.
Whitney Moia stole the inbounds pass and drove for a fast break layup, and after a stop,
Tristin Wicks hit a bucket while getting fouled to give MNU a 2-point lead. Wicks blocked a shot down low on the next possession, and Ellie Deitz iced it with 2 free throws.
