Another final-possession victory for MNU has the Pioneers on a 2-game win streak after an 84-83 win at Central Methodist on Saturday. MNU opened the game on a 7-0 run but the Eagles fought back to trail by just 2 at halftime. CMU took an 8-point lead with 12 minutes to go, but MNU went on a 7-0 run to get back in the game. The final 8 minutes were tight, and CMU had a 2-point lead with 16 seconds left.
David Nelson was fouled on a 3-pointer, and the senior nailed all 3 shots to give MNU the lead.
Jonathan Green blocked the final shot attempt from the Eagles to seal the victory.
