MNU Splits With Benedictine

The Pioneers dropped Game 1 but salvaged a split vs. Benedictine on Tuesday. MNU scored in the bottom of the first in Game 1, but Benedictine scored 4 runs on 2 hits and 2 errors in the top of the second to take the lead. The Pioneers managed just 1 more run, and the Ravens extended the lead throughout the game to win 9-2. Alexis Pacheco (3-4, R, RBI) had 3 of MNU's 7 hits.

In Game 2, Clarisa Cortez allowed just 3 hits and 1 unearned run in a complete game victory. The Pioneers scratched across 2 runs in the second and 1 in the fourth and sixth innings to win 4-1. Alexis Pacheco (1-4, RBI), Madison McKay (1-2, RBI, HBP), and Shelby Frans (1-2, RBI, HBP) drove in runs for the Pioneers.
