MNU was held hitless in Game 1 in a double header sweep at #21 Central Methodist on Saturday. The first game was scoreless until a solo homer and a 3-run shot put the Eagles up 4-0 in the bottom of the fifth. Another 3-run homer made it 7-0 and the Pioneers lost by that score.
In Game 2,
Alexis Pacheco led off the third inning with a solo homer to give MNU a 1-0 lead, but CMU tied it in the bottom of the fourth. The Eagles rallied for 4 runs in the bottom of the fifth to take control.
Madison McKay's RBI single in the sixth made it 5-2, but CMU put up 3 more in the sixth and won 8-2.
Alexis Pacheco (2-3, R, HR, RBI, Sac) and
Korrissa Aguilar (2-3, 2B, Sac) had 2 hits apiece.
MNU is 20-16 (10-10 Heart). The next double header is Wednesday at Evangel (28-10, 14-4) at 2:00.
