Balcom's Big Night Leads MNU over William Penn

Megan Balcom recorded 2 career highs in MNU's 85-69 victory over William Penn on Saturday. The senior guard snatched a career high 8 rebounds in the first half alone on her way to 10 for the game. She also knocked down a career-high 8 three-pointers for her second career double double. Eight 3s is the most in a game since Jess Gray hit 7 in the 06-07 season opener.

The Pioneers started the game on the 7-0 run and controlled the pace throughout. MNU led by 19 at halftime as they held WPU to 27% from the field while forcing 12 turnovers. William Penn cut he deficit down to 11 in the 4th quarter, but the Pioneers build the lead back to 19 before cruising to the finish.

Balcom was 8-13 from beyond the arc for 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists. Jasmine Webb added 15 points and 8 rebounds. Tristin Wicks had 10 points. Bailey Rinehart recorded a career-high 6 assists. And Whitney Moia had 9 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks in 17 minutes off the bench.
