Pioneers Cruise in Springfield

The Pioneers shot 53% while holding Evangel to 33% in a 69-55 victory in Springfield on Wednesday. MNU jumped out to a 6-0 lead and never trailed, taking a 24-16 lead after the first quarter. The lead was 10 at halftime, and the Pioneers pushed it as high as 18 in the third. Evangel cut the deficit to 10 in the fourth, but MNU held them off and won by 14.

Nathalie Felipe shot 7-9 and led the way with 16 points off the bench. Megan Balcom had 13 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Kyleesha Weston added 11 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. Bailey Rinehart had 10 points. And Tristin Wicks had 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.
