Pioneers Win on Senior Day

All 4 seniors reached double figures in MNU's regular season finale 77-51 victory over Grand View on Saturday. Grand View hit their first 3 shots to build a 7-2 lead, and MNU trailed by 2 at the end of the first quarter. With 5 minutes until halftime the Pioneers trailed by 3, but a 15-4 run to close it out gave MNU an 8-point lead. A big third quarter increased the lead to 18, and the Pioneers put it away in the fourth to win by 26.

Jasmine Webb led all scorers with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Megan Balcom had 15 points, 8 assists, and 2 steals. Kyleesha Weston added 14 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. And Nathalie Felipe had 12 points and 2 steals.

MNU finishes the regular season 24-5 (19-3 Heart). The Pioneers are the #2 seed in the conference tournament and will play the winner of William Penn/Peru State on Thursday at home at 7:00.
