The Pioneers are 2-0 after a 72-61 victory vs. Peru State on Saturday. MNU started on a 9-2 run and led 17-10 after the first quarter. But the Bobcats fought back and used an 11-0 run to take a 3-point lead in the second. The Pioneers stopped the run, went into halftime tied, and started the third quarter with a 9-0 run to take control. The lead went as high as 17 in the fourth and MNU cruised to the finish.
Jovana Jovovic led all scorers with 16 points and 5 rebounds off the bench.
Tristin Wicks had 14 points.
Jayden Oliver added 10 points and 2 steals.
Ashley Gibson had 9 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. And Tanchelle Hollingsworth had 6 assists and 5 steals.
