MNU ended a 2-game skid with an impressive 118-90 victory over Bellevue on Saturday. Five minutes into the game the Bruins held a 20-13 lead, but the Pioneers used a 17-3 run to take a lead they would not relinquish. Hot shooting and fast break buckets kept building the lead throughout the game, and the Pioneers led by as many as 36 in the blowout. MNU shot 61% from the floor, including 46% (10-22) from beyond the arc.Jonas Page had a season-high 22 points to go along with 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals.
Justin Randall shot 7-10 for 18 points.
Marshawn Arnold shot 8-9 for 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals in 22 minutes off the bench.
Gabriel Jordan added 12 points.
Nick Syrie had 11 points, 13 assists, and 6 rebounds. And
Hudson Welty and
Cale Brubaker had 10 points apiece.
MNU is 9-4 (3-2 Heart). The next game is Wednesday at home vs. Peru State (6-6, 3-2) at 7:30.
