MNU Swept by #11 CMU

Central Methodist showed why it's ranked #11 with an impressive double header sweep of the Pioneers on Saturday. In Game 1, CMU jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, and MNU couldn't cash in multiple base runners in the first few innings. The Eagles scored 6 runs on 6 hits in the third, and the Pioneers fell 9-0 in 5 innings via the mercy rule. Hayley Gately (2-3, 2B) had 2 hits for MNU.

Game 2 was scoreless until the third inning when CMU brought home 2 with a 2-out rally. The Eagles scored 3 runs on 3 hits in the fourth, and put the game away with a 5-run sixth. The Pioneers were held to 4 singles, and fell 10-0 in 6 innings.

MNU is 9-20 (0-4 HAAC). The next double header is a non conference matchup on Tuesday at home vs. William Woods (14-13) at 1:00.
