Macie Jones drove home Peacock with 2 outs, and MNU had an early 2-0 lead. Ottawa rallied for 5 runs on 4 hits, 2 walks, and an error in the third, but
Ana Tavarez drilled a 2-run homer in the fourth to get the Pioneers within 1. In the bottom of the sixth, MNU scored on a
Jess Peacock 2-out RBI single, and the game went to the seventh tied at 5.
Hayley Gately led off the bottom of the seventh with a single,
Madison McKay bunted her to second, and
Macie Jones drove in the winning run with a single to center.
Megan Schwindler pitched 4 innings of scoreless relief for the victory, and
Jess Peacock (3-4, R, 2 RBI),
Macie Jones (3-4, 2 RBI), and
