The Pioneers faced 3 NCAA Division 2 opponents and went 0-3 on Saturday. In the first game vs. Western New Mexico, MNU fell behind early after a 5-run second inning gave the Mustangs a 6-1 lead. Hayley Gately's 2-run single got MNU closer, but the Pioneers did not score again and fell 13-3. Felisha Vogelaar (1-2, 2 R, 2B, BB), Hayley Gately (2-3, 2 RBI), and Macie Jones (2-2, BB) had 5 of MNU's 7 hits.

In the middle game, Lubbock Christian scored 5 in the first and third innings to take a 10-0 lead. MNU got on the board in the fourth with a 2-out 2-run single from Ana Tavarez, and added 2 more in the fifth on Hayley Gately's 2-run homer. But Lubbock held on for an 11-4 victory. Madison McKay (2-4, R), Hayley Gately (2-4, R, HR, 2 RBI), Macie Jones (2-4, R), and Shelby Frans (1-1, R, 2B, 2 BB) led the offense.

In the final game against Oklahoma Panhandle State University, MNU fell behind 1-0 in the first inning. But an RBI double from Hayley Gately tied the score in the third. Panhandle State scored again in the bottom of the third and twice more in the fifth to take a 4-1 lead, and that was the final score.
