MNU went to Chickasha, Oklahoma and split two games vs. University of Science & Art of Oklahoma and Mid-America Christian University. Both games were blowouts and ended via the mercy rule. Against USAO, the Pioneers couldn't score until the sixth inning when 
Hayley Gately recorded an RBI to get within 2 runs of the Drovers. But USAO exploded for 6 runs in the bottom of the inning to win 9-1.
Against MACU, MNU had 3 big innings and won 15-0. In the first inning, 
Madison McKay's 2-out 2-run triple started a rally. 
Macie Jones followed with an RBI single, and 
Kaity Wills and 
Kimberly Montoya singled before 5 runs came across. The second inning was more of the same. 
Felisha Vogelaar and 
Alexis Pacheco singled with one out, and 
Hayley Gately brought them home with a 3-run homer. With 2 outs, 
Shelby Frans was hit by a pitch with the bases load to bring home another run, and MNU led 9-0. In the bottom of the fourth, Gately started another big rally with a leadoff double. McKay drove her home with a single, and 5 hits later MNU scored 5 more for a 15-0 lead. 
Taylor Pearcy recorded a perfect fifth inning to close the game and get the 2-hit 6-strikeout shutout. And

MNU is 2-5. On Saturday the Pioneers face #19 William Woods at 10:00 and USAO at noon.
