One out later, Hayley Gately's single drove home Pacheno for a 1-0 lead. Western New Mexico tied the game in the fifth, but MNU answered right away. In the top of the sixth, Felisha Vogelaar led off with a double and advanced to third on a Pacheco single. Madison McKay singled home 1 and Gately's RBI groundout gave the Pioneers a 2-run lead, and MNU piled on in the seventh. Two singles and a walk loaded the bases, and McKay's 2-run double broke the game open. Kaity Wills doubled home 2 more, and the inning ended with a 9-1 advantage.
