Daria Sprew capped her stellar career with a 30-point 12-rebound performance in a 32-point victory over Graceland on Saturday. She surpassed 1,500 points early in the game, and nailed a 3-pointer in the final minutes as MNU finished the regular season with a 17-1 HAAC record. The victory was the 5th straight win by at least 30 points for MNU. The Pioneers trailed by 2 after 5 minutes of play, but an 11-0 run gave MNU a big lead they would not relinquish. By halftime the lead ballooned to 29, and MNU kept pushing in the second half to win by 32.
Sprew was 13-17 for 30 points and 12 rebounds.
Tristin Wicks had 12 points and 9 rebounds. Senior
Martyna Kudziela recorded a double double with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Bailey Rinehart added 9 points off the bench. Senior
Shadequa Longus had 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. And
Kyleesha Weston had 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists.
MNU ends the regular season 24-5 over, 17-1 HAAC. The next game is Wednesday at home at 7:00 vs. either CMU or Evangel in the quarterfinals of the HAAC Post Season Tournament.
