Pioneers Win by 30

The Pioneers won their 11th straight game, and 4th in a row by at least 30 points, in a 69-39 blowout at Avila on Thursday. A sluggish first half ended with the Pioneers leading 25-20, but MNU blew the game open early in the second half. A 20-2 run over 8 minutes gave MNU a 23-point lead which they maintained throughout the rest of the gmae. An 8-1 run in the final 2 minutes extended the lead to 30, and the Pioneers clinched a sole spot atop the HAAC. With 1 game remaining, the Pioneers are 2 games ahead of 2nd-place Benedictine.

Shadequa Longus led the way with 15 points and 2 steals off the bench. Martyna Kudziela had 12 points on 4-5 shooting. Tristin Wicks had 7 points and 7 rebounds. Daria Sprew had 6 points and 8 rebounds. Megan Balcom had 6 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals. And Ashli Lykins added 9 points off the bench.
