The Pioneers trailed by 15 in the second half before a furious comeback resulted in a 2-point loss to Culver-Stockton on Monday. The Wildcats dominated the last 10 minutes of the first half, turning a tie game into a 15-point halftime lead. With 16 minutes remaining in the game, the Pioneers started to turn it around. An 8-0 run cut the deficit to 7, but Culver responded to build their lead back to 11. With 9 minutes left, MNU went on an 8-1 run to cut the deficit to 2, but couldn't break all the way through down the stretch. Culver hit enough free throws in the final minute to hold off the Pioneers, and MNU lost 90-88.Gabriel Jordan shot 9-15 for a career-high 23 points and 6 rebounds.
Jordan Whelan put in 22 points and 7 rebounds off the bench.
Justin Randall had 20 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals. And
Nick Syrie had 9 points and 6 assists.
