Pioneers Survive Culver

MNU remained perfect in conference play with a 3-1 victory over Culver-Stockton on Friday. The Wildcats took the first set 25-21, but MNU used a huge run to take the next 2 sets. With the score tied at 16 in Set 2, MNU went on a 9-1 run to close it out, then opened the 3rd set 8-2 to seize control. MNU cruised to a 25-13 victory to go up 2-1 in the match, then won a tough 4th set 26-24 to claim the match.

Sofija Berezovska led all attackers with 15 kills. She also contributed 13 digs. Taylor Cowan had 10 kills and 9 blocks. Tashley Snyder recorded 24 digs. Rachel Kater had 40 assists and 5 digs. And Gisele Silva had 6 kills and 11 digs.

MNU is 16-7 (5-0 Heart). The next match is a non-conference affair on Thursday at #18 Park (12-5) at 7:00.
