Pioneers Advance to Title Game

The Pioneers advanced to their 4th straight HAAC title match with a 3-1 victory over Culver-Stockton on Wednesday. MNU took the first set after fighting off 3 set points and winning 27-25. The script was almost flipped in the second set as Culver fought off 3 set points, but MNU recovered to win again 27-25. The Wildcats led the whole way in the third set to win 25-20, but the Pioneers closed it out with a 25-22 victory in the fourth set.

Zoraida Heredia had 15 kills and 18 digs. Sofija Berezovska hit .414 and recorded 15 kills. Becca Powers had 30 assists while Rachel Kater had 22. Tashley Snyder (15) and Kylie Pfaff (10) had double-digit digs. And Taylor Cowan had 5 blocks.

MNU is 20-13 (7-2 HAAC). The next match is the HAAC tourney final at home vs. Evangel (24-11, 7-2) on Saturday at 7:00.
