The Pioneers struggled to stop the Graceland offense in Game 1, but blew out the Yellowjackets in Game 2 to pick up a split on Tuesday. MNU scored in the bottom of the first inning on a
Tianna George squeeze bunt, but Graceland strung 5 straight singles together to open the second and ended up scoring 5 runs. MNU tried to fight back with 2 runs in the fourth, but Graceland matched it in the fifth to take a 7-3 lead.
Lynsey Keith homered in the fourth and
Jen Polivka had an RBI double in the fifth to get within 2, but Graceland put up 2 more in the sixth and held on for a 9-6 victory.

Jen Polivka (2-3, 2B, 2 RBI) led the offense.
In Game 2, the Pioneers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning and kept pouring it on.
Tianna George hit a 3-run homer in the second and
Jen Polivka hit a solo shot in the third to give MNU a 6-0 lead. In the bottom of the fifth, George led off with her 2nd homer and the Pioneers scored again to win via the 8-run rule.
Kayla Harris recorded the complete game shutout. And

The Pioneers are 22-12 (10-4 HAAC). The next game is a double header at home on Thursday vs. Peru State (11-21, 6-6) at 4:00.
