The men's soccer team got back on the winning track tonight with a 3-0 win at Friends University in Wichita, KS. After 3 straight ties the Pioneers were in need of a solid win. They made quick work of the Falcons with all 3 goals coming in the first 26 minutes of the game.
Tyler Hagemen, a Wichita native, scored his first goal of the season from an assist by
Kalev Saarna in the 14th minute. Just one minute later,
Trent Remmich created a turnover in the box and
Luke Pontin was there to put the ball in the back of the net.
Jeremie Koffi finished off the scoring in the 26th minute with an unassisted goal. Chris Eriksson earned his first shutout of the season with 3 saves.
For the game MNU outshot Friends 23-5, who fall to 3-1 on the season. The 10th-ranked Pioneers move their record to 3-0-3. The next game is at home on Saturday against Morningside (1-3-0) at 2:30.
