The MNU Men's Soccer team tied Madonna University (MI) Saturday afternoon.
After 2 overtime periods neither team could find the net for the deciding goal and the game ended with a 1-1 score.
The first half was a scoreless affair with both goalkeepers being called into action multiple times.
In the second half, MU got on the board first with a goal in the 71st minute. MNU was forced to try to come from behind and after missing several opportunities they were able to tie the game. Trent Remmich scored in the 80th minute from an Oumar Seck and Chris Eriksson assist. The regular time ended with the score tied at 1-1.
In the extra time periods both teams produced 2 good scoring opportunities but neither were able to finish. For the game MNU outshot MU 24-13, with shots on goal being 9-5 respectively. Madonna's goalkeeper was credited with 8 saves. Chris Eriksson for MNU came up with 4 saves. MNU moves their season record to 6-3-1. Their next game is at home on Tuesday where they will be taking on Park University.
