Results from Collegiate Nationals last weekend. The meet was at the US Olympic Education Center in Marquette, Michigan.
Rashell Yockey got 2nd place in the 75+ weight class. After battling with two other girls in a weight class of 5 women. She Snatched 59K (129.8 lbs) and Clean & Jerked 80K (176 lbs) giving her a total of 139K (305.8 lbs). At last years Collegiates she got 58, 75, & 133.
Tyler Rodden got 4th place in the 105+ weight class. He was in a weight
class with 11 participants. He got 126K (277.2 lbs) in the Snatch, and 162K (356.4 lbs) in the Clean & Jerk, giving him a total of 288K (633.6 lbs), which qualifies him for the American Open in December. He was also competing with the individual that broke all three National Collegiate records in the Snatch, Clean & Jerk, & Total. Last year Tyler received 6th place with 115K, 150K, & 265 total.
"It was a really good meet and they had personal bests in all of their lifts," said Coach
Whitney Rodden. "They really performed well and I was so proud of them!"
