Molly Karagyaurov

Molly Karagyaurov was named MNU Head Volleyball in the Spring of 2019.

As a player, Karagyaurov (then Molly Brewster) played volleyball at MNU from 2009-2012 and was a multi-time Conference Player of the Week, All-Conference honoree (2010, 2011, 2012), Scholar-Athlete (2011, 2012), Conference Player of the Year (2012), and NAIA and AVCA All-America selection (2012). In her 4 years, she led MNU volleyball to its first ever conference tournament final (2010, 2011, 2012), first ever conference tournament championship (2011, 2012), first ever regular season conference championship (2012), first ever national tournament appearance (2011, 2012), and led the 2012 squad to the best season in MNU history - 30-5, finishing 5th nationally. She and assistant coach Jen (Roth) Scott are the only members of the MNU volleyball 1000 digs/1000 kills club and is proud to say she is currently the shortest member of the MNU volleyball 10ft club.

Molly graduated in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in education and coaching before going on to play professionally overseas (2013-2014).

In 2014, she returned to MNU under head coach Kristin Steele as an graduate assistant. In 2 seasons, she helped the Pioneers to a conference championship, conference tournament championship, and a national tournament appearance while being named Conference Assistant Coach of the Year both years (2015, 2016). Also in 2016, she completed her Master’s degree in Business management.

In 2016, Brewster became Karagyaurov by marrying MNU soccer alum Atanas "Nasko" Karagyaurov. She then returned to playing professionally for two more seasons in 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. She received multiple individual MVP awards as well as led her German team to a 2nd place league finish (2016-2017) and a league championship (2017-2018).

After returning from overseas, she joined UMKC as their volunteer director of volleyball operations (2018) and then volunteer assistant coach (2019).

Molly was elected to the MNU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018.
