Coach Toren is from Shawnee, Kan. and comes to MNU after graduating from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Ill. with his B.A. in Psychology. During his junior and senior years at Trinity, he joined the school’s inaugural Men’s Volleyball Team as a right-side hitter and serving specialist. He was a two-year CCAC All-Academic athlete and a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete. He also served on his school’s Athletics Leadership Committee and worked closely with a mental performance specialist to develop and implement mental performance strategies for the Athletics Leadership Program for Students at Trinity. He is now a graduate student at MNU, pursuing his M.A. in Counseling. His interests include mental health issues in student-athletes, mental performance training, positive psychology, and sport psychology.
