Maria Eugenia Ayzaguer was named Director of Volleyball Operations in July 2024.

Originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, Ayzaguer earned a double major in Accounting and Business Administration while playing volleyball for MNU (2015 - 2018). She later completed her MBA while serving as an assistant coach for the volleyball team, and most recently graduated with a Master of Science in Information Systems and Business Analytics.

As a player,  Ayzaguer gained valuable international experience, playing in Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil for five years while representing the Uruguayan national team. Her talent was recognized early on when she was named the National Most Valuable Young Volleyball Athlete by the Uruguayan Olympic Committee and honored as the U-16 National Player of the Year. During her time at MNU, Ayzaguer earned All-Conference honors and was recognized as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete. Ayzaguer contributed to the Pioneers’ success, helping secure three conference championships, three conference tournament championships, and three national tournament appearances.

With extensive experience in operations and a strong foundation in analytics and statistics, Ayzaguer is now committed to enhancing organizational effectiveness, optimizing processes, and driving the continued success of the team.
