Erin Cooper

Erin Cooper is in her first season as a member of the Pioneer volleyball coaching staff. She comes to MNU after serving as an assistant coach for three years with the volleyball program of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Cooper’s instruction on the floor helped the Bears finish with the best record in school history and obtain NCAA national recognition in defense with making a mark in the top 20 with digs.  

Prior to her arrival at Mercer University, Cooper spent seven years as the head coach at Seminole State College in Seminole, OK. She was hired to start the program and after three years of inception, the Trojans made it to the NJCAA National Tournament, finishing ninth and was recognized as Region II Coach of the Year. Throughout her stint at SSC, she coached numerous all-region players, academic all-americans, and one NJCAA all-american.

While at Seminole State College, Cooper also served as the assistant director of the women’s division of the NJCAA Region II, under head coach Kristin Vincent Steele.

Cooper started her coaching career at Dodge City Community College in Dodge City, KS. She took the Conquistadors to its first 30 win season.

A native of Wayne, NE, Cooper starred in her hometown at Wayne State College lettering in both volleyball and basketball. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Wellness and master’s in Sport Management and Administration. She currently resides in Kansas City, MO with her husband Kenneth.
