Spenser is entering his third season as Assistant Coach at MNU. In his time at MNU, he has helped lead the Pioneers to 3 consecutive National Tournaments. In 2013 and 2014 the team made it to the Round of 16. In 2015 MNU was the National Tournament runnner-up, losing in overtime in the National Championship. They finished the year as the #2 ranked team in the nation.
Prior to his arrival at MNU, he was a four year starter for California Baptist University, making appearances in 61 games. He earned All-Conference honors in 2006 for the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC), tallying his first collegiate goal against the eventual national runner-up Azusa Pacific University. Spenser graduated in 2010 with a degree in Business Administration, and then worked corporately in Fresno, California before making his move to MNU.
Coach Steele’s wife Kristen works as a graphic designer/photographer. They currently live in Overland Park.
