Alec Lemmon

Alec joins the MNU coaching staff after a stellar carreer for the Pioneers.  Alec was a four year starter and a captain of the team his senior year.  He leaves MNU having received numerous individual awards.   Alec was a 2 time NCCAA Honorable Mention All-American, a 2 time Heart of America All-Conference player, a 2 time NCCAA All-Central Region player, and was the NAIA Champions of Character Award winner for MNU at the 2007 NAIA National Championship tournament. He was a part of numerous team achievements at MNU as well, including a 2006 NCCAA National Championship, a second round appearance in the 2007 NAIA National Championship, and a 2008 HAAC Conference Championship with a final NAIA National Ranking of #16.  Alec is currently tied for #3 all time on the MNU career scoring list.

During his teen years, Alec was selected to the pool team for the U.S. Soccer U-14 National Team. He traveled with this team to Mexico for various international friendlies.  He was also with the 86’ Region II ODP team, and with the 87’ Region II ODP teams for over four years.  With the Region II Boys teams, Alec made trips to Massachusetts, Florida, Costa Rica and to the famous Biella, Italy Junior Pro Tournament. At this tournament the Region II Boys team was the first U.S. team to ever win the tournament championship. The tournament included the youth teams of famous Pro clubs such as Bayern Munich, Torino, Lazio and Juventus.

Alec's High School career was equally as impressive as he helped lead Maranatha Academy in Shawnee, KS, to their first Kansas State Championship in history. As a high school player he started every game and served as team captain 2 years. Alec is the second all time leading scorer at his high school with 47 goals, second only to his brother who held the state record several years with 96 career goals. He was selected to the All-Sub Regional, All-County, All-State, and All-Metro teams.

Alec received his Bachelors of Arts in Organizational Leadership from MNU in only 3.5 years.  He graduated with above a 3.0 GPA.  He is currently pursuing his Master’s of Business Administration at MNU.  He is also the Coaching Director for the Gardner Legends and has been involved with running camps and coaching youth soccer for the last few years.
