Scott Seymour was named Head Golf Coach in December of 2021, bringing a proven track record of success from his alma mater, Oklahoma Wesleyan University, where he spent five seasons leading both the men’s and women’s programs.
Since launching the program at MidAmerica Nazarene University, Seymour has quickly established one of the premier programs in the Heart of America Conference. Under his leadership, the Pioneers have captured back-to-back conference championships in 2024 and 2025. Seymour was named Heart of America Conference Coach of the Year in three consecutive seasons (2023, 2024, 2025), reflecting the program’s sustained excellence.
Seymour has guided the men’s team to two NAIA National Championship appearances, highlighted by an 8th-place finish in 2024 and an impressive 5th-place finish in 2025. His players have earned numerous individual honors, including six NAIA All-America selections and 12 All-Conference selections over a three-year span.
Both the men’s and women’s programs have experienced significant success in competition, combining for 13 team tournament victories, while individuals have claimed nine medalist honors during that same stretch.
In addition to conference recognition, Seymour was named GCAA Midwest Region Coach of the Year in both 2024 and 2025.
Prior to MNU, Seymour served as the head men’s and women’s coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan beginning in 2017. During his tenure, he led the Eagles to three conference championships, including a men’s title in 2017 and women’s titles in 2017 and 2018. He was named KCAC Coach of the Year on the men’s side in 2017 and on the women’s side in both 2017 and 2018.
Seymour guided both programs to the NAIA National Championship in 2017, with the women’s team returning again in 2018. His teams consistently competed at a high level, highlighted by a third-place finish at the 2019 NCCAA Women’s National Championship.
While at Oklahoma Wesleyan, Seymour coached eight men’s and four women’s KCAC First Team All-Conference selections, along with three GCAA Academic All-Americans and two NAIA All-Americans.
A former student-athlete at Oklahoma Wesleyan, Seymour enjoyed a decorated playing career. He earned Second Team All-MCAC honors as both a sophomore and junior before being named First Team All-MCAC as a senior. He also recorded a 13th-place finish at the NCCAA National Championship during his junior season.
Seymour and his wife, Bristol, have two daughters: Scottie and Macyn.
