Aric Henderson

Aric Henderson returned home to the Kansas City metropolitan area in July of 2014. Henderson joined the MidAmerica Nazarene staff as defensive line coach and Special Teams Coordinator after working on the opposite side of the ball at Angelo State University.
 
At Angelo State, Henderson coached the tight ends for two seasons during the 2012 and 13 seasons and served as a graduate assistant. In 2013 he coached All- American Alex Young and led a group of tight ends that helped blocked for the 13th rushing offense and 36-ranked total offense in the nation. In 2012, Henderson guided Antwon Williams to All-Conference honors. He was in charge of offensive video breakdown and led the scout defense in preparation for each weeks game. Henderson recruited north east and west Texas in his two years with the program.
 
Prior to Angelo State, Henderson served as video coordinator and football operations at South Dakota State University for the 2011 season. There he served the head coach in day to day operations and handled media and program branding. Henderson also controlled the entire video department at SDSU. He was in charge of all day to day video operations for game day and practice. He also served with on campus recruiting efforts and recruiting weekends. In his last spring with the team, he worked with the running backs and receivers.
 
Henderson started off his career as an undergraduate assistant at the University of Missouri in 2008. There he served under Andy Hill coaching wide receivers. In 2009 and 10 he worked with the quarterbacks and lead the defensive scout team each week and helped with game day preparations and scouting reports. He also served with on campus recruiting and video breakdown.
 
Henderson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and a Master’s in Education of Kinesiology.
 
Henderson is from Kansas City, MO and attended Center High School and graduated from Raymore-Peculiar. Henderson won 2 state championships as a wide receiver at Ray-Pec high school and is the 2nd oldest of 6 kids.
