Adrian Chapman

In Chapman's first season leading the Pioneers secondary, the MNU defensive backs flourished as all four starting defensive backs earned All Conference Honors, while sophomore free safety J.D. Wood and senior Cornerback Will Griffin picked up All-American Honors. The Pioneer Secondary ranked 2nd nationally in total interceptions with 26, while ranking number 4 in total pass defense efficiency. He will  be coaching defensive backs again in 2011 as well as working with special teams and the speed and conditioning program.

Chapman played safety for 3 years at the University of Central Missouri and then transferred to Minnesota State to finish his college career, lettering each year. He was a standout defensive back for the Mavericks in 2009 leading the team in pass break-ups and starting in a defensive backfield that led the nation in interceptions with 29. He helped Minnesota State to the NCAA playoffs and the team’s best record in school history with a mark of 10-2. In High School Chapman was a state champion and 6 time all-state track and field sprinter and hurdler at Ozark High School in Ozark, MO. He graduated from Minnesota State University with a degree in Sports Management and is currently working on his Masters in Business Administration at MNU.
