Coach Alison is in his 8th season as an assistant for the Pioneers. During his time at MNU, Alison has spent time working with hitters, baserunners, infielders, outfielders, and catchers. His current duties consist of coaching hitters, outfielders, directing the offense and heading up recruiting efforts.
Under his direction, MNU’s 2012 lineup was one of the most balanced attacks in the nation, ranking in the top 20 in the country in both stolen bases per game and home runs per game. Prior to returning to MNU in the fall of 2011, he spent one season as the hitting coach at perennial Junior College power Spartanburg Methodist, helping SMC to a ranking as high as #11 in the NJCAA.
Alison has spent the past three summers coaching the Laconia Muskrats in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. In 2011, he helped guide the Muskrats through the NECBL playoffs to an Eastern Division championship, and his 2012 club made the playoffs for the third straight season while setting a new single-season home run record. He has also coached in the Boise Summer League and with Athletes in Action in the Alaska Baseball League.
Alison is a 2002 graduate of MNU where he was a 2-year starter in the outfield, earning All-Conference and NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors. In addition to his coaching duties, Alison teaches in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at MNU and serves as an Associate Scout for the Tampa Bay Rays.
