ST. LOUIS, Mo. – MNU erupted for six second-half goals and rolled to a 7-0 conference victory over Missouri Baptist on Saturday morning.

The Pioneers created the first opportunity of the match when Maria Stumpf put a shot on goal in the seventh minute. Missouri Baptist answered with a pair of early chances, but goalkeeper Anna Pace made a save in the ninth minute before another attempt sailed high.

MNU broke through in the 26th minute. Just 25 seconds after entering the match, Raquel Fernandez connected with Tindra Jarl, who finished the chance to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead. MNU continued to apply pressure with four first-half corner kicks and took the one-goal advantage into halftime.

The match opened up almost immediately after the break. Luna Etienne put two shots on goal in the first four minutes of the half before Jarl struck again at 49:31 off an assist from Stumpf.

MNU then turned the match into a rout with two goals just over two minutes apart. Maddie Lalman made it 3-0 at 64:52, and Megan Watson scored off Stumpf's second assist of the half at 66:57.

The Pioneers weren't finished. Fernandez scored off a Hannah Garner assist in the 80th minute, Audree Cheney added another just 82 seconds later, and Brecklyn Hardman capped the scoring at 86:19 off Fernandez's second assist of the match.

MNU dominated the second half with 21 shots and six goals while holding Missouri Baptist without a single shot. For the match, the Pioneers finished with a 28-4 advantage in shots, including 17-2 in shots on goal, and held a 7-0 edge in corner kicks.

Jarl led the attack with two goals on eight shots, giving her the game-winner and both of MNU's first two goals. Fernandez contributed a goal and two assists off the bench, while Stumpf recorded two assists. Lalman, Watson, Cheney and Hardman also scored as six different Pioneers found the net.

Pace made two saves in 90 minutes to earn the shutout. Missouri Baptist did not record a shot after halftime.
