OLATHE, Kan. – MNU dropped a hard-fought 72-65 battle to #20 Graceland on Saturday afternoon. Despite hanging with 1st-place Graceland for most of the game, the Yellowjackets surged late to maintain their hold atop the conference standings.
MNU trailed 35-31 at the half after a back-and-forth opening period, and Graceland opened up a 13-point lead in the opening minutes of the second half. The Pioneers fought all the way back to tie the game at 57 with 4 minutes left, but the Yellowjackets controlled the rest of the game. An 8-0 run over 2 and a half minutes put the game out of reach, and MNU fell to 5-6 in conference play.
